Will these labs be accepted for college admission?
The labs align with NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) and cover the same topics as AP Chemistry lab requirements. Each PDF lab report includes: student name, completion date, NGSS standards codes, time on lab, and a verifiable report code that colleges can check at our verification page.
We also provide a transcript documentation package — course description, hours log, completion certificate, and NGSS standards list — in the same format used by accredited homeschool co-ops.
No platform can guarantee college acceptance (neither can any school), but every document we produce is designed to hold up to admissions scrutiny. Our FAQ guide "The Homeschool Lab Science Guide" (free download) summarizes what 50+ colleges actually look for in homeschool lab science.
How do I document lab science on my student's transcript?
The process is straightforward: download each lab report after the student submits the lab, save them in a dedicated folder, and at the end of the year download the transcript package.
On your official homeschool transcript, list "neoCatalyst Labs Virtual Chemistry" as the lab science component, with the total logged hours from the parent dashboard. Attach or reference the lab reports and transcript package as supporting documentation.
Most colleges want to see: (1) what labs were done, (2) how many hours, (3) some form of supervision or signature. Our transcript package provides all three.
What is the verifiable report code on my lab reports?
Every submitted lab generates a unique report ID (e.g. NCL-A3-X7K2M9) printed at the bottom of the report. Anyone can verify it at neocatalystlabs.com/verify — it returns the student's first name, lab ID, submission date, and time on lab.
This turns report integrity into a visible feature: a college admissions officer or co-op administrator can confirm independently that the report is genuine. A manipulated printed report would have no valid code.
Is this a subscription? Will you raise prices?
No subscription, no auto-renewal. You pay once and get 9 months of access — one academic year — whether you buy Unit A or the Full Course. The access window starts at first login, so you can purchase in advance without losing time.
We don't have plans to raise prices. If we ever move to a subscription model, existing one-time buyers will be grandfathered at no additional cost.
What does the 14-day guarantee cover?
Complete fewer than 3 labs within 14 days of your first login and we'll refund you in full — no questions asked. Just email raj@neocatalystlabs.com.
We use Lemon Squeezy as our payment processor (Merchant of Record), so refunds are straightforward and protected.
I have two students. How does the sibling add-on work?
The sibling add-on ($79) generates a second, independent access code for a second student on the same course. It must be purchased within 30 days of your original purchase. Each student has their own dashboard, lab progress, and reports — they don't share data.
To purchase a sibling add-on, visit the payment page and enter your original purchase email to verify eligibility.
What happens when my access window expires?
When your access expires, you enter a 30-day read-only grace period: interactive labs lock, but your dashboard, parent view, and lab report downloads remain fully open. After the grace period, the access code stops working entirely.
Downloaded PDF reports are yours permanently — they don't expire and don't require our servers to remain valid. The dashboard shows your expiry date so you know when to download everything.
Are all the labs available now?
Yes — all 31 labs across 10 units (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, K, N) are live and available now.
Full Course access ($149) includes every lab. Unit A access ($25) includes the 5 Unit A foundation labs, and you can upgrade to the Full Course any time for the difference.
What happens to my data if I switch computers?
Your lab progress and completed lab reports are saved to our cloud database (Supabase, hosted in the US) when you complete labs while logged in. When you sign in on a different device, your progress syncs automatically.
If you ever work offline, progress saves to your browser's local storage and syncs to the cloud on your next online session.
What happens to my data if neoCatalyst Labs shuts down?
We keep this risk explicit. If we need to shut down, we'd:
1. Provide at least 30 days' notice via email.
2. Keep the site accessible during that window for downloads.
3. Email every user a download link for all their lab data.
The PDF lab reports your student downloads are permanent — they don't require our servers to remain valid. The verifiable report code would no longer be checkable online, but the signed, dated document itself is what most institutions want.
Do you offer group, co-op, or classroom pricing?
Not through an automated flow yet — we're a small operation. Email raj@neocatalystlabs.com with your group size and we'll work something out.
