The service

neoCatalyst Labs provides an interactive virtual chemistry laboratory platform for high school students. The platform includes interactive lab simulations, auto-generated PDF lab reports, hours tracking, and a transcript documentation package.

neoCatalyst Labs is designed for homeschool, co-op, microschool, and independent high school students. It is not limited to any particular schooling model.

Eligibility

neoCatalyst Labs is intended for students ages 13 and older (high school, Grade 9 and above). By using neoCatalyst Labs, you confirm that the student using the platform is at least 13 years old. If the student is a minor, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on their behalf and is responsible for the student's use of the platform.

Access and accounts

Access is granted via a unique access code delivered by email after purchase. One access code is valid for one student. The sibling add-on provides a second independent code for a second student in the same household.

You are responsible for keeping your access code secure. Do not share your code — code sharing may result in access revocation without refund. If you lose your code, contact us at raj@neocatalystlabs.com.

Access windows and expiry

Access windows begin at first login, not at purchase date:

• Unit A: Access to the Unit A labs only (Lab Foundations, 5 labs), 9 months from first login. Upgrade to the Full Course any time for the difference.
• Full Course: 9 months from first login, all 31 labs across 10 units.
• Sibling Add-On: Inherits the same access scope as the primary purchase.

After the Full Course access window ends, you enter a 30-day read-only grace period: interactive labs are locked, but your dashboard, parent view, and PDF report downloads remain accessible. After the grace period, the access code stops working.

Downloaded PDF lab reports are not time-limited — they are yours permanently.

Refund policy

14-day guarantee: If you complete fewer than 3 labs within 14 days of your first login, you may request a full refund by emailing raj@neocatalystlabs.com. Refunds are processed through Lemon Squeezy within 5–10 business days.

Outside of the 14-day guarantee, refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We err toward the customer when circumstances are reasonable.

Refunds revoke access. Refunded accounts have their access codes deactivated.

Not professional advice

NGSS alignment means the curriculum was designed with reference to the Next Generation Science Standards framework. It does not represent certification, endorsement, or approval by NGSS, the National Science Foundation, or any other body. Completion of neoCatalyst Labs does not guarantee acceptance of lab credits by any college, university, co-op, or institution — admission and credit decisions are made solely by those institutions.

Lab report integrity

Lab reports, hours logs, and transcript packages generated by neoCatalyst Labs are intended for personal educational documentation. They reflect the student's work as recorded by the platform. The documented hours log is a self-generated record produced by the neoCatalyst Labs timer — it is not independently audited or certified by a third party.

Each lab report includes a verifiable report code. Altering or misrepresenting the content of a lab report while presenting it as an original document is a violation of these Terms and may constitute academic fraud. neoCatalyst Labs provides tools for legitimate documentation; how families represent that documentation to institutions is their responsibility.

Acceptable use

You may use neoCatalyst Labs for personal, educational use. You may not:

• Share access codes with anyone outside your immediate household
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access
• Attempt to circumvent technical access controls
• Use the platform for any purpose other than educational use
• Use the platform in a commercial classroom or institutional setting without a separate written agreement

Record retention

We retain your purchase record for 4 years from the date of purchase. This is a commitment, not a policy subject to revision. It ensures your transcript documentation remains available if needed for college applications or subsequent verification.

Third-party content

Some labs may incorporate or link to content from third-party providers (including PhET Interactive Simulations, University of Colorado Boulder, licensed under CC BY 4.0). neoCatalyst Labs does not control third-party content, availability, or accuracy. Unavailability of third-party content does not constitute a failure of neoCatalyst Labs's service and does not entitle you to a refund outside the standard policy above.

Intellectual property

All neoCatalyst Labs content — lab text, simulations, report templates, and design — is the property of neoCatalyst Labs. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute it without permission. Lab reports and transcript documents generated from your student's work are yours to keep and use for personal educational documentation.

Service availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update lab content, add new labs, or modify features. We will not remove content already accessible during your access window without replacement.

If we discontinue the service, we will provide at least 30 days' notice and make all lab reports and user data available for download during that window.

Disclaimer of warranties

neoCatalyst Labs is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of bugs. We do not warrant that neoCatalyst Labs documentation will satisfy any particular institution's requirements.

Limitation of liability

neoCatalyst Labs provides lab documentation tools for educational purposes. We make no guarantee that lab reports will be accepted by any specific college, co-op, or educational institution. Admission decisions are entirely at the discretion of those institutions.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neoCatalyst Labs's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid for access. In no event shall neoCatalyst Labs be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost educational opportunities, college admission outcomes, lost data, or loss of use — even if neoCatalyst Labs has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for material violation of these Terms (for example, sharing access codes publicly or using the platform commercially without authorisation), with notice where practicable. We will not terminate access arbitrarily during your purchased access period for any other reason.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved by contacting us at raj@neocatalystlabs.com. If resolution is not reached informally, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in English.

Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and neoCatalyst Labs and supersede any prior representations or understandings.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email if you have provided an address. The effective date above will be updated. Continued use of neoCatalyst Labs after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
